Invited to the Future Fit Forum: the Finish Edition at Kingpins Amsterdam, I approached the brief as an opportunity to question how fit can extend the life of a garment—through adaptability, versatility, and connection. Working within the given framework, I developed a piece that brings construction, surface, and finishing into a continuous dialogue, where laser processes become part of the design language rather than a final step.

I see creativity as a kaleidoscope, where experiences and personal baggage come together piece by piece, reshaping the way we see, interpret, and create. This project is a direct reflection of my lived experience: ideas that were first seeded in Spain took shape in China and expanded during my return to Brazil.

In it, I bring together Brazilian and Chinese cultures—not as references, but as the result of experiences that have shaped me and now coexist within my creative process. In developing the fit, I translate the logic of this kaleidoscope, along with the versatility required by a life that fits into a suitcase, into something tangible.

Two reversible pieces—a cape and a dress—that multiply possibilities of use and connection. On one side, a surface marked by a reimagined original illustration; on the other, the essential construction of upcycling, revealing the past lives of the 501s. Between the two, a proposal for garments that transform with the wearer—and with those who allow themselves to be transformed by them.
The Future Fit Forum, presented at Kingpins Amsterdam, brings together international designers to explore how fit can contribute to sustainability in fashion. Working within a shared brief—two yards of raw sustainable denim and two discarded Levi’s 501s—each designer develops a single piece that reflects their perspective. For this edition, Jeanologia supports the process through laser technologies, integrating finishing techniques into the design development.
